Agritechnica - 2005

The event is being held as part of an agreement between the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the Moscow City Government and the open joint-stock company “State Joint-Stock Company “All-Russian Exhibition Centre” about cooperation in exhibition-fair activities (№ 608 / 13 of 21.06.2004, № 77-117 of 01.07.2004, № 591 of 23.06.2004), and as part of an Agreement between GAO VVC and the German Agricultural Society (DLG) on cooperation in the sphere of exhibition-fair of activities of 21 January 2005.

The International Exhibition “Agritechnica” is held once every two years and is one the largest international exhibition forums devoted to agricultural gear and equipment.

In 2003, 1392 exhibitors participated in the exhibition. The total exhibition space was 124,801 square meters, and 227,931 people visited the exhibition.

Of all European exhibitions of agricultural gear and equipment for the agro-industrial complex, the Hannover exhibition boasts the largest share of agricultural equipment manufacturers among its exhibitors. All European and world manufacturers of agricultural machinery are represented here.

The exhibition offers the most multi-faceted exhibition programme for crop science and horticulture where manufacturers demonstrate their innovations, representing a great deal of interest for specialists.

The “Agritechnica” international exhibition has become a salon where the major trends in world agriculture are set. With its offers of new equipment and new developments, it is one of the most significant informational forums for matters concerning the development of agriculture, including agricultural gear and equipment for the agro-industrial complex and gives a full picture of the state of the agricultural engineering industry.

Over its 20-year history, “Agritechnica” has become a centre of agricultural innovations for the entire world. In a time of rapid change in agriculture and industry, it is more important than ever to choose which areas of development to focus on. “Agritechnica” is a unique laboratory for the future of the entire agrarian sector. The exhibition’s organiser, the German Agricultural Society (DLG) expects that 1400 exhibitors will present their new developments. The applications of the exhibitors show that in the centre of attention will be the “hits” of agricultural engineering for 2006. Thus, “Agritechnica” convincingly confirms its reputation as one of the most important exhibitions of agricultural equipment in the world.

Russia’s administrative regions, agricultural and processing companies, as well as companies engaged in agricultural engineering are in great need of investment and modernisation of production, therefore, the exhibition is constantly visited by Russian representatives of business political circles, producers and suppliers of agricultural equipment, as well as leading representatives the Russian agrarian science.

“Agritechnica 2005” has been included in the plan of exhibition events of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. Under the auspices of the Ministry, for the first time a Russian exposition will be organised and an official delegation from Russia will pay a working visit to the exhibition.
